Teacher Maths Lesson week 4

WALT: solve multiplication problems

From this lesson I have learnt how to solve multiplication problems. One of the ways that I have been taught to do this is by splitting the largest number.

So, for example:
27 x 5 first we split the number 27 to make 20 & 7. So, 20 x 5 =100. 7 x 5 =35.
Then I add the subtotals. 100 + 35 = 135 and there is your answer.
